My budget is somewhere between $600 and $750K. I have enough downpayment to buy a more expensive place but do not qualify for a higher mortgage. It may work to buy a house with someone that qualifies for a larger mortgage but needs more money for the down payment.
I would prefer to be on the ground or upper level and I am hoping to find a place with lots of light.
My needs include: private kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room, direct access to outdoor space (a deck or patio or yard), parking, a place to store my bicycle, laundry facilities, and lots of light.
I would love to be part of a big house divided into 3 or 4 separate units or a carriage house but would also be very open to considering other options.
My ideal partners would be kind, happy, motivated, positive, optimistic, fun, and easy to get along with. A can-do attitude is really important to me and great sense of humour would be wonderful too - but not essential :).
I love being around people my own age but also have lots of great friends that are both older and younger than me - age really doesn’t matter to me. I also love babies and children and would be super happy to have them around as well. I am an expert baby rocker :).
I am ready to buy something whenever the opportunity arises. My perfect timing would be to buy a place in the fall of 2024 or the first part of 2025.
I am really excited to be part of a co-housing opportunity. I love the idea of being in my own place but also part of a nearby community. I believe that by purchasing a larger place we be able to get a much better price per square foot than we would if we each bought smaller places.
I look forward to meeting some likeminded people and potential housing partners.
Looking for Partners in the Kitsilano / Point Grey Area /
Open to East Vancouver & North Shore
I am a single professional and empty nester with two wonderful daughters in their 20s.
I live with my dog, Misha, in a condo in Kitsilano. I really like having other people around so I rent my second bedroom to a student.
I have my Masters in Nutritional Science, I love to cook healthy food, I do yoga most days and also another form of exercise (either the gym, pickleball, cycling, hiking, swimming or skiing).
I work as a governance consultant for non-profit boards. It’s a challenging and interesting job that I really enjoy.
My ex-husband and I built our own house on an Island using solar power and then renovated several houses and condos so I have lots of experience in renovations and love doing them. I would be really happy to buy a house that needed some work but also happy to get a place that the work has already had the work completed.
My ideal location would be in Kitsilano or Point Grey but I would also be happy to consider Mount Pleasant, Trout Lake area, around Commercial Drive, near Wall Street and the North Shore. I would really like to be within walking distance of parks, coffee shops, restaurants and a produce store.
