East Vancouver Family Seeking Partners

I am a single parent and elementary teacher, working at Beaconsfield Elementary and living in East Vancouver.  My 10- and 7-year-old boys are with me half time, week on, week off, go to school at Laura Secord, and are bundles of energy and creativity.

In another life, before having kids, I was a visual artist and am only now gradually reclaiming that part of myself – with a few paintings on the go and a young fantasy novel that I hope to complete the first draft of by the end of the year.

Activities we enjoy are biking, board games, Lego, making art, jumping on the trampoline, time in the forest, Dungeons & Dragons, reading, video games, and music.  We are mostly vegetarian, but the boys will have meat occasionally.

We click best with families with kids of similar age, whether single or partnered parents, and folks with progressive values that respect the rights and dignity of all peoples.

Ideally, we would have our own living space for our families, with 3 bedrooms for mine, and however many you need for yours.  I would love to share a yard, workshop, or play space with you.  If we are dreaming big, things I would love share include a trampoline, a garden, a garage space for storage, maybe space to paint or create, and maybe even a chill area to hang with foosball, Ping-Pong, air hockey, or something like that.

I hope to find a home for us close to Laura Secord, Frog Hollow, or Van Tech, but I am in a good rental situation and can wait for the right house and right people to co-own with.
